Frazer Metro
Restoration.
Frazer number 15 had been stored for a great number of years.
Previous owner claimed he had been using this regularly but
having just one stud on the offside front i doubt it. The poor car
had a turbo engine fitted but in pieces.
Getting the car home first job free off the brakes so at least it could
be moved. A low mileage MG Metro sacrificed its engine for the
cause.
A marathon welding period resulted in a strong shell again,
followed by renewing almost all brake parts, thank heavens most
parts are available, isn't Ebay wonderful! Suspension followed with
ball joints refusing to move, but giving in finally. The car now runs
and demanded new tyres, ouch! Progress so far means the car is
now legal but in dire need of paintwork, carpets, will it never end!
